use the pill to concive

by kirsty law » 02 Sep 2011 | 02:21 PM

Hi i got married back in june 2007 and was on the pill mircogone one (had been on it since i was 16 to regulate my periods )and when we came back from are honey-moon 2 weeks later i stoped taking the pill as we wanted to try for a baby and was taking normal pregnacare, then i didnt think anymore about it then in the middle of august was gettin bad back and headaches just thought it was my period as i hadnt had one since i stopped take it and i know ur body can take month to get back to normal,
but when i got in from work done a test and i was very shocked to find out i was pregnant already 4 -5 weeks gone, my daughter is now 3 1/2 had a good pregnacy apart from havin her 5 weeks early due to pre-clampsya
we havin been trying for another baby for over a year and sadly lost twins on new years eve this year at weeks pregnant, still havnt fallen again really thought i was gonna be one of the lucky one that would fall straight away but no such luck,
Part of me is thinking of going to doc on mon going on the pill for 4-6 months then trying straight away to see if it will happen again as it did with my mum, but then i will be stoppin my self for those 4-6 months falling , and if i dont fall straight away it could take us another 6 months + to fall,,, SO confussed and dont know what todo i know its only been a few months since the miscarriage but everyone around us is falling or havin babys i know gettin down and stressed isnt helping but doc wont do any test untill new year ,,,,,

It might be a very good idea. Pills help you regulate your hormones, re-establish regular ovulation and as soon as you stop taking pills your chances are highly increased!!!

Pills is what doctors usually recommend to get back "normal" periods. Visit your ObGyn and ask him about blood test to know your hormones, especially progesteron. If it is too low, you do not ovulate and can no sustain pregnancy (90% cases of miscarriage caused by lack of enough progesteron hormone)
