Im two weeks late and I took two pregnancy test they were both negative. Im sleepy all the time and I have cravings but I really dont know what to think. HELP please!

If I were you, I would definitely re-do those tests in the next 4-5 days. Maybe it is still too early for HPT to pick up the current level of HCG in your urine. Most of them as you know start showing the results when HCG in your blood stream hits 25 or so. Do you have any other symptoms such as period-like cramps, spotting (because spotting also might be a good sign such as embryo implantation)? One more question do you usually have regular or irregular periods? If you do have irregular periods you probably don't know the exact day of your ovulation, thus again it might be too early for a home test to pick up the HCG level yet. However, to be absolutely sure I would go to see my obgyn to do a simple HCG blood test.  I’m sure you will get same day results when you do this test in the morning.

Hi Victoria,
Yes, it is possible to get a false result on a home pregnancy test. Some of the reasons can be taking the test too early, not using it exactly according to the instructions, or not checking the test on time. Wait a few days and repeat the test. If you get a negative result again, but think that you might be pregnant, get a blood test done to get an accurate answer.

im currently having the same problem ive had cramps on and off for the last week and still no period. i hoping im late because i've been stressed out lately but i've been trying to calm down. no tests yet but im thinking of going to the doctor very soon. my periods are regular i was late last month only by a couple of days though. i've never been a week late like i am this month.

Hi Beachchick,
If you still didn't get your period, it would be a good idea to go to your doctor for a blood test. I'm very irregular, and I do sometimes get cramps days or even weeks before my period starts. But since you are regular and this is an unusual occurrence, it's best to see your doctor.
