Spotting instead of period?

by Ajb » 17 Jan 2012 | 10:09 PM

Hi thereMy last period was on the 15th of december and was pretty normal. but now, my period was due around the 12th of january. my partner and i, havnt had sex, but were engaging in other stuff, and after i bleed lightly for about an hour. i immedietly assumed i had got my period so i put a tampon in. over the next 6 days i only got light brown discharge in very small amounts and once or twice very little amounts of light pink when i wiped (sorry if too much info!). because we didnt have sex i thought pregnancy was out of the question, but i remembered there has been times where he's ya know and then we've been touching and i realise there could be a chance some sperm got in or something. One time especially was on christmas night the 25th of december which is just over 3 weeks ago. now that my period is a week late im kind of worried, is this my period? i also usually get sore breasts a day before my period that lasts for about two days then goes away but this time i got sore breasts 3 days before the first bit of blood and they are stil sore today,6 days later. i have also been tired and moody. Does this sound like pregnancy to you? or what elses could it be? Thanks

If you are absolutely sure that you did not have real intercourse (let say, you were sleeping while he...)  then there is NO chance to be pregnant. To calm down yourselves, just elaborate Home Pregnancy Test (HPT) ("1st Response" is always recommended, do not trust no-name), you will see negative. Your "unusual periods" + unusually long "sore breasts" + discharges are symptoms of low progesterone hormone level. You can do blood test if you want, but HPT + healthy food + walking every day and everything will be fine    .
